Active And Fit

Many of the HAWA Team Members stay active and fit by training for races and competitions, working out at the gym and using home fitness equipment. As a personal trainer, I enjoy working with HAWA Members to create realistic fitness goals, so you can achieve them. I guide members in goal setting and a plan of action that includes designing a personal fitness program just for you. I'm here to motivate you and cheer you on to your goals and personal victories. I grew up in the north suburbs of Chicago and have been playing sports my entire life.  I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science at Illinois State University, hoping to eventually work with athletes.  Upon entering the fitness industry, I decided that while helping athletes run faster and jump higher was interesting, it was much more exciting and rewarding for me to help people live longer and improve their quality of life.  I worked for a personal training studio right out of college, and for a health care system in clinical weight management and employee wellness, for the past 7 years.  I continue to play recreational basketball and soccer, as well as kickball and football, and I enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities like biking, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, etc.
